Ousmane Dembele, formerly of Barcelona, seems to be a completely changed footballer under manager Luis Enrique, and he was the one who gave the Parisians an early lead against Arsenal in the first leg. The Gunners did not recover from that blow, and had to concede defeat.

Now, in this game, at home, PSG will focus on an all-out attack in which all their wingers as well as fullbacks will be dedicated to the sole aim of scoring as many goals as possible and put the game beyond Arsenal’s control. 

Dembele, PSG’s star, picked up a hamstring strain in the first leg, but is fit to be available in this game. However, defender Presnel Kimpembe will have to sit out this one with a foot injury.

PSG’s attacking forces seem to have found no match in the Champions League this season, which can also be attested by Liverpool. Arsenal’s fellow English club, who won the Premier League, were knocked out by PSG in the Champions League. 

Apart from Kimpembe, PSG do not have any injury concerns in this game.

Moreover, their recent 1-2 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League is bound to shatter the hopes of even their most avowed supporters. 

However, Mikel Arteta’s men are known to be mentally tough, and they will be expected to put up a strong fight in the second leg, albeit away from home.

Bukayo Saka, who picked up a yellow card in the first leg, will be the key player for the Gunners in this encounter, although the likes of Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino (primarily a midfielder, but playing in attacking roles of late) will have to step up to the plate as well. 

Arteta likes to focus on a possession-based style of football that is bound to irritate PSG, who are flamboyant and sometimes even extravagant with the ball at their feet. 

Arsenal do not have any new injury concerns apart from Jurrien Timber (he is a doubtful starter), with the likes of Gabriel and Gabriel Jesus ruled out for the rest of the season and Jorginho and Kai Havertz expected to come back only later this month. Riccardo Calafiori is a doubtful starter owing to a knee injury, whereas Tomiyasu is sidelined for the season.

Interestingly, PSG and Arsenal have not drawn any of their last 3 matches against each other, with the home team winning the previous encounter and Arsenal winning two before that.
