It seems as if the Premier League got underway just yesterday, and lo and behold, the final gameweek is here! The title has already been decided – Liverpool have taken home the crown this season, but the thrills of the season have remained unabated, purely because of the crowded top four positions in the table.
Currently, no team, save for Liverpool and second-placed Arsenal, has secured their berth in the UEFA Champions League next season. Newcastle United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Nottingham Forest bring up the next five positions in the standings, and all are separated by just one point!
Only one point spilts third and seventh!

There are rumours that the Champions League might have six teams from England next season, with five already confirmed (four from the league and the winner of the UEFA Europa League). However, no club will be willing to take any chances and aim to secure their spot in the continental competition soon.
So, what are we waiting for? Dive right into the picks and predictions for this upcoming (and final) round of the 2024-25 Premier League season:
Top Premier League prediction №1. Fulham vs Manchester City (Sunday, May 25)
Fulham and Manchester City meet each other in one of the most interesting games of this matchday. While the home team, Fulham, have no chances of making it to either the Champions League or Europa League owing to their current position in the league table (10th), they can spoil things for the visitors.
City need nothing other than three points in this encounter to make it to Europe next season and a loss will painfully upset the well-laid plans that Pep Guardiola must have had. City, who are currently sixth in the table, hope to employ both Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush in the attacking third.

A loss for Guardiola’s men, combined with victories for their competitors elsewhere, will surely mean that they fall out of the Champions League race. Fulham will like nothing more than an upset here.
Our pick: Manchester City to win (-149)
Top Premier League prediction №2. Liverpool vs Crystal Palace (Sunday, May 25)
Even though Liverpool have been crowned champions of the Premier League, they will treat their upcoming match against Crystal Palace with utmost seriousness. Their opponents most recently won the FA Cup final by beating Manchester City, and will not be taken lightly at all.

Palace would like nothing more than to spoil Liverpool’s party on the last day of the Premier League season, even though it will not mean anything much to them personally. Liverpool manager Arne Slot will be expected to rotate his squad a bit and give the youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talents.
This game will also be an emotional one for right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has announced his decision to leave the club when his contract comes to an end this summer. Palace, currently ranked 12th in the standings, have no chance of getting into the upper half of the table, but will want to bow out with a win.
Our pick: Liverpool to win (-238)
Top Premier League prediction №3. Manchester United vs Aston Villa (Sunday, May 25)
Manchester United, straight on the back of the UEFA Europa League final, will take on Aston Villa at home on Sunday. Ruben Amorim’s men have suffered big-time in the Premier League this season, and are currently ranked 16th in the standings.
If Spurs win their next match and United lose theirs, the latter will stand a chance of ending the season in the 17th position, just one above the relegation zone. Hence, they need to win this game at all costs to avoid such a shameful and embarrassing situation.

United’s squad has lacked depth, and this may be one of the concerns Amorim addresses in the summer. Their attackers have been toothless against the best defenders in the league, and will be expected to come up short against Villa too.
Their opponents, however, have a chance of making it to the Champions League next season as they are currently ranked 5th with 66 points. If Villa win this game and their competitors drop points elsewhere, they will make it to the continental tournament next season.
Our pick: Aston Villa to win (-128)
Top Premier League prediction №4. Newcastle United vs Everton (Sunday, May 25)
Newcastle United and Everton meet each other at St James’ Park on Sunday. Newcastle desperately need a win to make it to the Champions League next season whereas Everton are simply happy that they have not been relegated.
For Newcastle, striker Alexander Isak may be a doubtful starter, but if he does make it to the lineup, he will be expected to score goals at will. Under manager Eddie Howe, Newcastle have become more free-flowing than they were in the past, and most of their games seem to be filled with end-to-end football.

They are currently ranked third in the table with 66 points, and know that a defeat here and wins for their competitors could spell the end of their European dreams. Hence, Newcastle have to win this game at all costs.
Everton, on the other hand, come into this game on the back of successive wins over Fulham and Southampton. These results give them just the right amount of good form to take on Newcastle, who were beaten by Arsenal in their previous encounter.
Our pick: Newcastle United to win (-303)
Top Premier League prediction №5. Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea (Sunday, May 25)
Perhaps the most interesting of all matches in this round of the Premier League will be this one between Nottingham Forest and Chelsea. Both these teams are ranked in the top seven spots of the league table currently and are vying for a Champions League berth for next season.
Forest, who started the season exceedingly well, will be disheartened if they fail to make it to Europe next season, whereas Chelsea, who seem to have heralded a new era under Enzo Maresca, have hit form at just about the right time.

Forest are currently seventh with 65 points while Chelsea are third with 66. The winner of this game will surely make it to the Champions League whereas the loser will either have to contend with a Europa League berth or nothing whatsoever.
Under manager Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest have attacked well even though most of the emphasis has been on striker Chris Wood to convert his chances. While they beat West Ham United 2-1 on Sunday, Forest know that they have a lot of bases to cover if they are to get past the challenges thrown their way by Maresca’s Blues.
Our pick: Chelsea to win or draw (-313)
