Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t exactly gotten off to a spectacular start this season with Joel Embiid, however, he is looking to return for the game against the New York Knicks.
With Embiid back in action, Tyrese Maxey will likely be able to take at least a small step back on the offensive side of the ball, as Kelly Oubre Jr. and Paul George have both been slacking on that side of the ball.
As long as Embiid is his usual self, he should give Karl-Anthony Downs quite a hard time down low.
New York Knicks
Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns have had some ups and downs already this season, but the two of them have been putting up some solid numbers at least. It’s really been the Knicks supporting cast that has needed some work, but even with some growing pains, the defensive ability of the starting 5 can’t be overlooked.
With Kat solidifying the inside, Brunson and OG Anunoby have the ability to play hounding perimeter defence, likely decreasing the overall shooting percentage the 76ers have on the night.

The Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks have both gotten off to rather rough starts this year, with both dropping games to less than spectacular talent.
With the 76ers lacking the dominant Joel Embiid and the Knicks working through some early growing pains with the addition of Karl-Anthony Towns, it will take some time for both rosters to start firing on all cylinders.

However, 76ers fans should be quite happy, as Embiid is likely making his return on November 12th, giving the roster a much-needed boost. Instead of relying on Trysese Maxey to create offence all on his own, he will at least be able to play a strong two-man game with Embiid rolling to the basket.
Kat will likely have his hands full on the defensive side of the ball, as long as Embiid’s minutes aren’t too severely restricted, leaving this game up to the guards for the most part.
This will leave Brunson, Anunoby, and Mikal Bridges to duke it out against an aging Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr., who are both lacking on the defensive side of the ball.
