Arsenal have secured a top 8 finish in the Champions League, beating Girona 1-2 in the last round. Mikel Arteta’s men had a perfect campaign, conceding only three times and thus becoming the second-best team after Inter to allow the least amount of goals.

While the gap with leaders Liverpool is six points in the Premier League, Arsenal will try to put pressure on them. The match against City will be a real test as the hosts are now on a 13-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League.

Ahead of the match, Arsenal will be without Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Ben White. David Raya, who sat out against Girona, is also a doubt.

Man City barely clinched their playoff berth, downing Brugge 3-1 in the last round of the Champions League. With surprisingly bad results recently, getting a spot in the knockout stage was the only way for Pep Guardiola’s men to proceed in the Champions League.

While chances of retaining their Premier League title look unlikely, Man City will try to aim for a top-two finish at least, should they win against Arsenal. Statistically, they have been much better in the second half of the season, losing only a single fixture in the Premier League in the last 40 games, played from January till the end of the campaign.

Man City will be without Nathan Aké, Ruben Dias and long-term absentee Rodri. Oscar Bobb has recovered but is unlikely to start.
