The summer transfer window is already buzzing with major moves across the globe, and clubs still have until September to finalize any last-minute deals. With some of the biggest teams in the world still looking to improve their squads, the final stretch of the window promises plenty of action.
Now, what are the biggest deals that have already been completed so far?
10. Jamie Gittens (£48.5m, rising to £52m)
Chelsea announced the signing of Jamie Gittens during the Club World Cup, but the former Borussia Dortmund star didn’t link up with his new teammates until after the competition. The 20-year-old winger enjoyed his best season to date in 2024-25, having scored eight goals and registered three assists. However, his game will need to continue to develop if he is to cement a place in Maresca’s starting eleven.
9. Dean Huijsen (£50m)
Dean Huijsen’s one-season stay in the Premier League ended earlier this summer, as Bournemouth accepted a £50 million deal from Real Madrid. The deal represents a good bit of business for the Cherries, who only signed the central defender for £15 million in the summer of 2024. Huijsen is expected to play a crucial role in Xabi Alonso’s revamped Madrid backline.
8. Anthony Elanga (£52m, rising to £55m)
Anthony Elanga was one of Nottingham Forest’s most important attacking players in their European push in 2024-25. However, the East Midlands club opted to accept Newcastle United’s initial offer of £52 million to allow the Swede to move to the North East. Elanga scored six goals and recorded eleven assists in 2024-25.

7. Mohammed Kudus (£55m)
Tottenham Hotspur’s most expensive signing this summer saw them bring in Mohammed Kudus from London rivals West Ham United. The Ghanaian had been an important player for the Hammers since making the move in 2023, scoring 13 goals and registering nine assists across the last two seasons. He adds a new creative outlet to the Spurs forward line.
6. João Pedro (£55m, rising to £60m)
João Pedro has already proved his worth at Chelsea this summer after scoring three goals in the team’s winning run to the FIFA Club World Cup. The Brazilian forward brings Premier League experience from stints at Brighton and Leeds. His dynamism in the final third could be a crucial asset for Enzo Maresca in 2025-26.
5. Mateo Retegui (£56.5m)
Mateo Retegui arrived on the European scene last season after scoring a remarkable 25 goals in 36 Serie A matches for Atalanta. However, the Italian opted for a lucrative move to the Middle East after Saudi Pro League team Al-Qadsiah broke their transfer record to sign him. The decision could impact his chances of making Italy’s squad for next summer’s World Cup.

4. Martin Zubimendi (£60m)
Martin Zubimendi could prove to be the difference-maker in Arsenal’s title campaign this summer. The Gunners have paid £60 million to Real Sociedad for his services. The Spanish international could thrive in the middle of the park for Mikel Arteta’s side, and his arrival is expected to free up Declan Rice to allow the Englishman to play in a more advanced role.
3. Matheus Cunha (£62.5m)
The Red Devils’ summer spending spree began with a major move in June, when they agreed to a £62.5 million deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for Matheus Cunha. Cunha’s experience in the Premier League was a big selling point, as he delivered 21 goal contributions in 33 matches for a struggling Wolves side in 2024-25.
2. Bryan Mbeumo (£65m, rising to £71m)
Manchester United finally got the deal over the line for Bryan Mbeumo in late July, as they agreed to match Brentford’s asking price. The quick Cameroonian forward was one of Ruben Amorim’s top targets this summer after scoring a career-high 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

1. Florian Wirtz (£100m, rising to £116m)
Liverpool paid a club-record fee to bring German star Florian Wirtz to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen last month. The 22-year-old player is widely regarded as one of the best number tens in world soccer, having scored 10 goals and registered 12 assists in the Bundesliga during the 2024-25 season. How the German adapts to life in the physical Premier League will make for fascinating viewing.
