Who Will Be Crowned La Liga Champions in 2025: Odds Update

La Liga, Spain’s premier football league, has reached its midway stage with three major teams – Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona – challenging for the honours. However, only one of them will be able to lift the shield at the end of the season.

Madrid, as defending champions, have a big advantage over their opponents, but one cannot write off their perennial rivals Barcelona, who seem a different side altogether under new manager Hansi Flick, who seems to have given them a breath of fresh air.

Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, remain one of the most hardworking sides in the league, and a team that does not know how to give up. This troika will go at it till the end of the season and make sure that fans do not have a dull day while supporting their respective teams.

In this listicle, we take a look at the three teams who have the best chances of being La Liga champions at the end of the 2024-25 season:

3. Atletico Madrid: +549 (20Bet)

Atletico Madrid, who are currently ranked second in La Liga with 45 points, have been tipped by 20Bet to end the season in third place. They have been given odds of +549 to win the league, which means that they will face tough challenges from the likes of Barcelona and their arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s side has won the league title on eleven occasions in the past and ended as runners-up ten times. This time around, though, they will have to battle themselves as much as their opponents till the end of the season and make sure that they do not lose grip over their objectives as much as they can.

Angel Correa and Manchester City loanee Julian Alvarez have led the charts for Atletico this season, and Simeone will hope that they continue to fire till the campaign comes to an end. The second side from Madrid are known for their defensive prowess, with the likes of Le Normand and Witsel standing firm in central defence.

2. Barcelona: +350 (20Bet)

Although Barcelona are ranked in the third spot of the league table at the moment with 42 points to their name, they have been given odds of +350 by 20Bet to win the league. They have now been tipped to finish the season second in the standings. Hansi Flick has rejuvenated Barcelona this season, and they look like one of the best teams in the division once again.

Former Bayern Munich manager Flick has asked his players to press relentlessly this season, and this has resulted in a Barcelona team whose workrate has been extremely impressive. With the likes of Ferran Torres, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal doing well in the attacking department, all eyes will be on Barcelona on how they finish the season.

1. Real Madrid: -228 (20Bet)

Defending champions Real Madrid have the best chance of retaining their title this season, as the odds given by 20Bet suggest. The odds are -228 in their favour, and one expects Los Blancos to cruise comfortably by the end of the season and pocket their 37th La Liga title, which is the most ever in the history of Spain.

At the time of writing, Madrid are ranked right on top of the league table with 49 points to their name, clearly separated by their cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid by four points.

The defending champions have won their last four matches in a row, and will be keen on continuing this momentum till the end of the season.

With Kylian Mbappe in fine form (15 goals so far in La Liga), Los Blancos are merely a few games away from retaining the title they had won with difficulty last season. Madrid also have a good midfield unit, but their defensive unit has seen a lot of injuries.

Still, manager Carlo Ancelotti is a serial winner and possesses the winning mentality that he imbibes in his wards as well.
