We are midway through the Premier League season, and it’s becoming clearer which teams will finish in the top four and which will be relegated. It’s a harrowing subject for all teams concerned, as it means they’ll drop a level and have to fight their way back into the top flight.
At the moment, the three teams who got promoted from the EFL Championship into the Premier League this term – Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton – are ranked in the 18th, 19th and 20th position of the league table. They’re in a prime position for getting relegated.

However, most teams still have around eighteen matches to play this season and could dramatically improve their fortunes. For this to happen, they’ll have to be at their best and not concede too many chances for their opponents to capitalize on. Solidity in defence is the key.
In this article, we take a look at the bottom five teams, among which three are most expected to get relegated:
5. Everton. Odds: +250 (20bet)
One of the teams with a chance of getting relegated into the EFL Championship at the end of this term is Everton. Sean Dyche’s men have blown hot and cold all season.
Everton are in 16th place on the Premier League table with 17 points inside their bag, having won just 3 out of 19 matches. Furthermore, the Toffees have not won a single game in their last 5 and seem to be extremely uncomfortable against top opposition. 20Bet has given them odds of +250 for relegation.
4. Wolverhampton. Odds: +163 (20bet)
The Wolverhampton Wanderers may also be relegated this season, with 20Bet offering them odds of +163. They’re ranked in the 17th position of the Premier League table with 16 points inside their kitty. They’ve won just four out of the 20 matches played.
Attacker Matheus Cunha has been one of the finds of this season for the Wolves, having netted ten goals and bagging four assists for Vitor Pereira’s side. The club have displayed an uptick in form lately. They’ve not lost three out of their last five games and seemingly displaying confidence that’ll give them a boost in their future matches.
3. Ipswich Town. Odds: -125 (20bet)
Ipswich Town, currently ranked 18th with 16 points, are anticipated to drop to the Championship this season. Kieran McKenna’s side have only been good in patches and, as a result, have suffered against other top teams throughout this campaign.
Ipswich have won just 3 out of the 20 matches they’ve played so far, losing 10 but drawing an impressive 7. However, they’ll have to outperform the other teams in the league if they’re to retain their position in the Premier League next season as well. Ipswich have been given odds of 1.8 by 20Bet for relegation.
2. Leicester City. Odds: -400 (20bet)
Leicester City are expected to move down into the Championship, from which they came ahead of this season. 20Bet has given them odds of -400 of being relegated at the end of their campaign, which means that they’ll likely be demoted. This will be worrisome to their manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Van Nistelrooy, who was part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff at Manchester United, was offered the Leicester job to turn the Foxes’ fortunes around. However, things have not been smooth sailing for the Foxes this season. They’ve won just three games and are ranked 19th in the table with 14 points.
1. Southampton FC. Odds: -10000 (20bet)
Southampton appear increasingly likely to get relegated at the end of the ongoing Premier League, with their position in the table almost cementing their fate. They’re ranked right at the bottom of the standings with only 6 points inside their kitty. The Saints have been woeful in top-flight football this term. 20Bet gives them odds of -10000.
Having just arrived from the Championship this season, Southampton have not been able to keep up with the challenges imposed on them by other Premier League sides. Southampton have lost sixteen out of the 20 matches, drawing three. Their sole win came against fellow relegation-threatened Everton in September.
